Iberian award for the most outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Rheology

Under the auspices of the Portuguese Society of Rheology and the Spanish Rheology Group (RSEF  and RSEQ)

The Portuguese Society of Rheology (SPR) and the Spanish Rheology Group (GER / RSEF and RSEQ) will award, every two years, an Iberian prize to the most outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Rheology, guaranteeing the provision of funds for the prize.

The awarding of the prize will take place during the Iberian Rheology Meeting, IBEREO.

•⁠  ⁠Candidates must be members of the SPR or the GER for at least one year at the time of application.

•⁠  ⁠The Award Committee will be appointed by the SPR and the GER.

•⁠  ⁠The final decision of the Award Committee will be known at IBEREO 2024, after a 15-minute presentation of the shortlisted candidates.

•⁠  ⁠The selection of candidates for the 15-minute presentation at the IBEREO 2024 Congress will be made before 15 July and will be communicated to interested parties by the same date.

•⁠  ⁠The prize will consist of 600 Euros and a Diploma, and may be shared by a maximum of two candidates.

 

Instructions for the 2024 award

The candidates who have successfully defended a PhD Thesis in any area of Rheology after 1 January 2022 and before 31 December 2023 and wish to be eligible for the award should send a pdf of the Thesis, together with a pdf file containing the Curriculum Vitae of the applicant, as well as the papers written within the framework of the Thesis. Applications should be sent by 1 April 2024 to:
